Namibia
Namibia is a country situated in the South West Atlantic coast of Africa. It is bordered by Angola to the north, Zambia to the northeast, Botswana to the east, South Africa to the south and southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The country’s coastline stretches over 1,500 km along the Atlantic Ocean, and it has several rivers, including the Zambezi, Kavango, and Orange River.
Windhoek, the country’s capital city, was chosen as the capital because of its strategically placed central location and its status as a transportation hub. Additionally, Windhoek has a strong economy and is home to many government institutions, making it a natural choice for the capital.
Namibia is largely a desert country, with 3 major zones: the Namib Desert along its western coast, the Central Plateau, and the Kalahari Desert covering much of its eastern and southern regions. In fact, it is ranked as one of the driest and the most sparsely populated countries in the world.
