Turkey, also referred to as Türkiye, is a transcontinental country located in both Europe and Asia, spanning across the Anatolian peninsula and the Balkan region. It is bordered by Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan to the northeast, Iran to the east, Iraq to the southeast, and Syria to the south.
